Operating technical equipment, mixing and balancing speech, sound effects and music, editing, correcting problems, improving previously recorded sound,

I considered them the most enjoyable tasks.

Integrating (synchronization) of audio (dialogue, sound effect and music) with visual content, re-recording and synchronization audio (post-syncing), mixing and balancing speech, effects and music, creating and altering sound effects for use in films, television, etc. Most commonly involves the manipulation of previously composed or recorded audio, such as sound effects (Foley) and dialogue (ADR- Automated Dialog Replacement). In some instances it may also involve the composition or manipulation of audio to create a desired effect or mood so every way You look, the sounds will follow, every way You don't, the sounds will take You.

We can imbue our sounds with interesting qualities, and we don't stop there, because the sounds of a non-standard design flow through them, the experience can be deeply memorable.

Alien Isolation
This short cartoon type video clip is a presentation of using foley and sound effects in post-production. It involves the manipulation of pre-recorded sounds as well as custom-tailored audio. Sounds captured on the field are recorded using Linear PCM Recorder- TASCAM DR 40.
Imported to Digital Audio Workstation, being edited, sync, mixed and mastered.
Mixed Up
All Foley sounds in this video were recorded by a professional digital recorder, using internal mics set to an XY stereo configuration. The room sound comes from the hospital main entrance, between two doors where the air conditioning fans were producing a lot of hum noise, some sounds effects like thumps on doors have a blend of audio of the same characteristics with sounds coming from a drum machine to enhance the low-frequency content of it.

"Sound is half the picture, and if you’re making an indie film, it’s important not to lose focus of the stuff you can’t see."
